B-K, or Banankompaniet as it is more commonly called, is a repurposed old banana warehouse, which has been turned into a music and event venue with a 3600 visitor capacity. The structure and expansive brick walls have been largely kept intact, with additions of careful spatial interventions that add functionality and spatial division where needed.

Entering the building, you meet the main lobby, where a small bar and events area flank either side of the entrance. The lobby is coloured in a pale yellow, mimicing the edible interior of the banana, and with custom furniture made in yellow Valchromat and leather.

The main hall is defined by its column free openess and the impressive precast concrete beam and column structure. Two large bars serve the hall, and in the summer months, the doors along the exterior facade can open up to connect the space to the docks area.

Adjacent to the main hall is the small venue, with also holds an playful and innovative two-storey WC-area, which create an unusual toilet break experience and saves 50% of the otherwise needed floor area, which instead is used for a smaller bar and club space.
